“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.”

-Benjamin Franklin

I once went to a brief meeting about the Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) strategy of La Trinidad MPS with PLTCOL GABRIEL PABLO, DPDA of BENGUET PPO, PLTCOL RODELIO OLSIM, COP of LTMPS, and other personnel of Benguet PPO. Enhanced Managing Police Operations is a Police Operational Strategy that broadened the concept of anti-criminality with regular law enforcement activities through police presence and focused law enforcement operations, crime investigation and solution, security measures, investigation, community partnership, proper deployment of resources, and public affairs through the quad media to promote public awareness and community support.

In order to ensure that our society remains peaceful and orderly and that its members continue to be happy, such activities are crucial. Which means that initiatives like anti-criminality campaigns can also contribute to the reduction of crime and the advancement of our society. It was made clear how important these items are based on such premises.

I discovered during our conference that since we can't afford to keep making the same mistakes, it is our responsibility as officials to plan ahead and strategically prepare for the events. To provide the public with high-quality service, it is our duty as officers to ensure their safety, the safety of the general public, the success of the events, and the effective use of our resources. Additionally, I observed that they foresee even little issues by offering logical solutions and alternatives.

I noticed during this EMPO conference how crucial officers' roles are in the design and development of programs and policies that will be put into place for effective police operations and a more powerful legal system. Such initiatives greatly contribute to the quest for peace in our country.

At the meeting, I also came to understand how important such activities are to maintaining and carrying out such programs meant to improve the nation. When we are already in the real world as soon-to-be lieutenants and commissioned officers in the Philippine National Police, the lessons and new information we have gained will be very beneficial to us. We appreciate being able to attend the conference since it improved our knowledge of the duties and demands placed on officers in charge of a unit or station.
