"Fortitude and Self-Mastery: The Essential Ingredients for Success in Cadetship"

The simple handshake of recognition from the upper-class corps and the declaration of at-ease status to the plebes are most awaited during the recognition rites (1). Our upperclassmen believe that plebe hood is one of the most difficult journeys to complete since many people give up. Those who have learned to live through storms, on the other hand, will undoubtedly enjoy the benefits of their efforts shortly.

We were able to surpass the dim world of sheep hood with an abundance of faith, determination, and support from our family (2). We are now acknowledged, which implies greater responsibilities. We received handshakes from our upperclassmen, which represent our worth as new members of the upper-class corps.

During the recognition day, most of the families and visitors made sacrifices just to witness one of the most momentous events of cadetship training. Undoubtedly, the love of our family is unlike any other. With the support of our family, we can surpass any adversities in life. Upon entering the Academy's portals the drumbeat resonates in the heart of every individual because they can now have a glimpse of their loved ones whom they lost for months because of a much greater purpose of becoming a future leader in the field of law enforcement.

My tears fell from my watery eyes for the first time when my father hugged me. I could sense his delight in having a son who is a PNPA cadet. For the first time, I saw my father cry in front of me, full of joy and pride. This was a life-changing event for me.

We conversed, consumed food, and shared amusing tales during our time together. This is without a doubt one of the most memorable experiences I had during my cadetship training since it was then that I first began to appreciate the advantages of being a cadet, despite all the challenges I had previously faced. I vowed to persevere and never give up until I left this Academy and attained the stars.
